OUR TEAM

Lauren, who is a Level 3 coach started coaching at Tameside Netball Club before establishing KWP in 2019.  She was on Manchester Thunder coaching staff since 2017, starting out as their Youth Academy Head Coach and more recently coaching their Next Gen side. 

She was appointed as the Roses Academy Assistant Coach in 2023 helping the U17s, U19s and U21s to win gold in Europe Netball.  Since 2024 she has been the Future Roses Assistant Coach and was Assistant Coach at Fast 5 with the Senior Roses.

Lauren was appointed Leeds Rhinos Superleague Head Coach in 2025, and became the youngest head coach in the Netball Super League competition at the age of 33. In her debut season, the she led the team to the Super Cup final.

For almost 10 years, Kirsten practiced as a solicitor in a Manchester based commercial law firm specialising in commercial litigation. Whilst her 3 children were young, she became a Christian youth and schools worker for St Mary’s church, Bowdon and studied for an MA in Christian Leadership.

Given the skill set that she has developed over the years, she is helping our Senior Committee to manage and steer the club to ensure that we achieve all our goals and ambitions, one of which is to be the most successful junior performance netball club in the UK. 

Kirsten also wants to make sure that our committee members, hardworking volunteers, talented coaches and athletes are looked after, and that we all communicate with each other positively and with thought. 

She has a big heart for our young athletes who love to win, for competition, elite sport but also kindness, compassion, tolerance, community, team building and good mental health and well being.

Nikhat has extensive experience in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of others. For over three years, she has proudly served as the Lead Safeguarding Officer at Kingsway Power Netball Club, supporting players, parents, coaches, and staff by providing guidance, managing concerns, and fostering a safe and positive environment for all.

She is committed to helping the club run effectively while ensuring that everyone involved feels protected, listened to, and respected. Nikhat is also passionate about maintaining high safeguarding standards and building a culture where wellbeing, safety, and fairness are at the heart of everything we do.

Karen's role at KWP is all about making sure our players, parents, coaches, and volunteers feel safe, supported, and included. Alongside working in education, she is also a qualified Counsellor.

Karen is passionate about promoting wellbeing both on and off the court and creating a positive environment where all our players can enjoy their netball, grow in confidence, and feel part of a team. If you ever have any worries, concerns, or just want a friendly chat, she is always here to listen!
